FAMILIES FIGHTING CARELESS DRIVING was developed to change the laws relating to careless driving causing death and to have more preventative measures to reduce unnecessary traffic fatalities. Careless driving is very dangerous as it can have tragic consequences. People need to know that cars are a privilege and require 100% concentration. If a car is used in a careless manner, it immediately becomes a very dangerous and deadly murder weapon. Driving a vehicle in a careless manner is a risk to everyone on the road and must have severe penalties when someone has been killed. People that drive fast and carelessly know what they are doing, and they know it is wrong, it is not a mistake, which means they should be held accountable for their action when they have killed another human being.

No matter how good of a driver you are, you can’t control the other people on the road. Imagine the driver coming towards you had previously been charged with careless driving where someone was killed, would you still feel safe in your car? It can happen as convicted drivers are allowed to drive again relatively quickly after they were convicted. It is time to change the laws so more innocent people are not killed.
